Sometimes the calculator can be your best friend.\u00a0 Today I decided to do an exercise long overdue.<\/p>\n

I added up the sum of my days on this planet we call earth.\u00a0 That number turned out to be 15,492 days.\u00a0 Birth, school yard wonder, working for a living, falling in love, and being found by the vision<\/a>.\u00a0 What a statement in a time when we have little time to stop and think.<\/p>\n

The numbering of your days is important.\u00a0 The following are my reasons for embracing the miracle and exercise:<\/p>\n

  1. Numbering your days sobers you.\u00a0 We can get drunk on success, materials and prestige<\/li>\n
  2. In the words of a great songwriter; “we’re only immortal for a limited time<\/a>“<\/li>\n
  3. Creates urgency to do and to dream<\/li>\n
  4. Settles you down from worrying about things you’ve got no control over<\/li>\n
  5. Makes you realize that safety is a myth.\u00a0 God wired us for risk and adventure<\/li>\n
  6. Helps you avoid regrets<\/li>\n
  7. Kills the counter-genuine cells.\u00a0 Screams the importance of keeping things real<\/li>\n
  8. Makes you realize your terminal and that you don’t have to wait for a diagnosis<\/li>\n
  9. Builds courage<\/li>\n
  10. Makes every smell, taste and delight precious.\u00a0 Sort of like a 2000 Barolo<\/a> or the voice of Michael Franks<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
